Questions about Starting or Stopping Water Service (Procedures for change of address)
A；About 3 or 4 days before you move, you should either contact the customer service center or submit an application through the internet to complete the necessary procedures.

(Note) Customers who do not know their customer number with the Bureau of Waterworks cannot complete the necessary procedures through the internet. Please contact the customer service center by telephone.
A； If you are moving within the area of the 23 wards of Tokyo and the 26 towns and cities of the Tama District, the customer service center will handle your application as a single procedure.
A；Have you completed your application to start service? If you have not already submitted your application, please contact the customer service center now.
If you have already completed the application process, the water shut-off valve in the meter box may be closed. Please turn the valve to the left to open it. If you don’t know where the valve is located, or you are having difficulty in opening the valve, please contact the customer service center.

A；If you are moving within the area of the 23 wards of Tokyo and the 26 towns and cities of the Tama District, you will be able to continue use the same bank account and/or credit card as before you moved. When submitting your application to start service, submit the application together with the customer number you used before moving. (Customers in the Tama District see here.)
* Continued use of the same credit card is limited to where the name on the contract before and after the move is the same.
- In cases other than the above, you will need to submit a new application.
- If you wish to continue using the same bank account or credit card after you move, you will need to submit an application to stop your service at the address you moved from.
