Questions in relation to water meters
A; Water meters have an effective lifespan of 8 years, as determined by the Weights and Measures Law. For that reason, at the Bureau of Waterworks, we may replace a customer's water meter during the effective term of their contract. We ask for the cooperation of all of our customers in this regard.
Please note that the costs of replacing the water meter are not born by the customer.
A;If the building is separated into different living spaces, each household uses separate kitchens and baths and the users are different, it will be possible to install separate meters.
A; Where the apartment is separated into different living spaces and each household uses separate kitchens and baths, it will be possible to install separate meters for use by different sets of users. However, even where the apartment is separated into different living spaces, and the users in each living space are different, where all of the facilities are connected to a common water supply, it will not be possible to install separate meters.
A; In the Bureau of Waterworks, the water rate system by meter size, where the charges are different depending on the size of the meter, has been adopted, and the area covered by the diameter of the meter used to calculate the water charges is called the nominal diameter. The nominal diameter of the customer’s house is recorded in the “Notice of Your Water and Sewage Consumption”.
